-Antimicrobial calcium alginate dressings and packings are soft, flexible dressings with a high mannuronic acid content.
-Calcium alginate fibers impregnated with silver react with exudate or blood and form a gel. Gel formation creates a moist environment in the wound to promote the healing process.

Indications:
Antimicrobial Calcium Alginate Dressings/Packings can be used on wounds at risk of infection or infected if they are:
-Superficial and deep wounds
-Highly exudative wounds
-Chronic wounds: venous ulcers, pressure ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers
-Acute wounds: second degree burns, lacerations, abrasions
-Postoperative wounds
-Skin transplants
Application mode:
Wound preparation:
-Clean the wound thoroughly, in accordance with current clinical standards, the surrounding skin must be clean and dry
Application of the Dressing:
-The size of the bandage depends on the surface of the wound
-Place the antimicrobial calcium alginate compress on the moist wound bed.
-Lightly plug cavitated wounds
-The dressing can remain on the wound for up to 7 days
Dressing Change:
-Change the dressing as directed by the responsible healthcare professional, or when moisture seeps through the secondary dressing
Contraindications:
-Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to calcium and silver alginate fibers or its components or on dry wounds.
