Gel for therapy, suitable for heat or cold.
CHARACTERISTICS:
Therapy gel, suitable for heat or cold, microwave or freezer resistant.
COLD APPLICATION
- Allow the gel pack to freeze for 2 hours. The gel pack can be stored in the freezer, so it can be ready to use when needed for cold application.
- Insert the gel pack into the wrap bag or wrap the gel pack in a towel before application. Wet bag before application for better cold transfer if needed.
- Apply the cold compress for up to 15 minutes at a time. Remove for 20 minutes and repeat as necessary. Consult your doctor for prolonged use.
WARNING: DO NOT APPLY DIRECTLY TO SKIN.
HOT APPLICATION
- Fill the large pot halfway with water and bring to a boil.
- Remove water from heat.
- Soak the gel pack in hot water for 10 minutes.
- Remove the gel pack from the water, dry with a towel and insert into the cloth bag.
- Wait for the gel pack to cool to a comfortable temperature and apply as needed.
MICROWAVE
Check the microwave power for the correct heating time for your gel pack.
- Lay the gel pack flat and spread it evenly before placing it in the microwave.
- If the gel pack is at room temperature, warm it as follows: Heat for 50 seconds. Allow the package to cool for 20 seconds. Smooth and fold before returning to the microwave. Heat it for another 25 seconds. Check the gel pack. If necessary, heat for an additional 20 seconds at a time until desired temperature is reached. Leave the gel pack on for 20 seconds.
- If the gel pack comes from the freezer, warm it as follows: Heat for 60 to 90 seconds, depending on the power of the microwave to reach room temperature.
