BACTIGRAS is a Leno-type open-weave paraffin gauze dressing impregnated with 0.5% chlorhexidine.
It is indicated for wounds with no more than 10% of the body area where there is a risk of infection or in already infected wounds in conjunction with systemic antibiotic therapy. It should be used for minor abrasions and scalds, donor and graft sites, wounds with skin loss as well as chronic wounds from foot ulcers and pressure ulcers.
MEASUREMENTS: 15CM X 20CM
Characteristics
- Acetate mesh with Leno-type fabric.
- Paraffin impregnated cover.
- Chlorhexidine 0.5%.
Action mode
BACTIGRAS provides a protective layer for the wound, where paraffin is deposited through an acetate mesh, which, thanks to its Leno-type fabric, allows the free passage of exudate towards an absorbent dressing. In addition, it contains 0.5% chlorhexidine which acts as an effective antimicrobial agent against gram negative, gram positive bacteria, MRSA, etc.
Benefits
