Lohman & Rauscher brand Suprasorb C collagen dressing that promotes epithelialization and closure for chronic or acute wounds with granulation tissue.
Suprasorb C collagen wound dressing has a porous structure with highly pronounced capillary activity that allows the absorption of liquids.
Suprasorb C is specifically indicated when there has been no change in wound condition after treatment with another wound dressing.
Differences between Suprasorb C and Garacoll: Garacoll has Antibiotic (Gentamicin) and Collagen and Suprasorb C is pure Collagen, however they are used for similar conditions.
Applications:
- Diabetic foot
- Pressure ulcers
- Leg ulcers

- diabetic ulcers
- pressure injuries
- Mixed venous or vascular ulcers
- Healing by secondary intention of surgical wounds
- Stages of: Granulation and Epithelialization
Characteristics :
- Stimulates collagen synthesis.
- Ideal for stagnant wounds.
- Promotes granulation tissue in cavitated wounds.

Suprasorb C collagen wound dressing has a porous structure with highly pronounced capillary activity that allows the absorption of liquids. This physical property allows the continuous absorption of exudate, cellular debris (such as necrotic tissue and fibrinous layers) as well as proteases and inflammation-inducing cytokines. Promotes and accelerates the formation of granulation tissue. The migration of fibroblasts is then induced and collagen synthesis is stimulated. During the granulation phase and at the beginning of the epithelialization phase, continuous supply of the defect with high-quality collagen promotes the formation of endogenous collagen fibers and fibrils. Wound bed repair promotes epidermal cell proliferation and migration. This promotes wound healing.
- It should not be used in clinically infected areas, in wounds with extremely high exudate levels or with dry necrosis. It should not be used in cases of known allergies to one or more component products.
Dressing change interval:
- Dressing change and reapplication depends on the circumstances. If required, Suprasorb C can be easily soaked and removed with physiological saline solution. If there are high levels of exudate, change the dressing one or more times a day.
