DURAFIBER AG is a silver-based, non-woven antimicrobial absorbent dressing composed of cellulose ethyl sulfonate fibers. The ionic silver contained in the dressing provides an antimicrobial barrier against a broad spectrum of common wound pathogens, and may help reduce bacterial bioburden and the risk of infections.
DURAFIBER Ag has been designed to quickly form a cool, transparent gel upon contact with wound exudate. This gel absorbs excess exudate, blocking it inside and keeping it away from the wound.
The high intragral resistance to moisture of DURAFIBER Ag facilitates the removal of the one-piece dressing from the wound bed, reducing the trauma and pain caused to the patient during its removal.

THERAPEUTIC INDICATIONS :
DURAFIBER Ag is indicated as an absorbent antimicrobial gelling dressing for the treatment of chronic and acute, full thickness, partial thickness or shallow granulation wounds. DURAFIBER Ag is designed to be left in place for up to 7 days.DURAFIBER Ag can be used on infected wounds. When the product is used on infected wounds, the infection should be inspected and treated according to local protocol.
